POKOTABI / Gin Itchō
築地銀一丁 春日店
Kasuga's conveyor-belt sushi restaurant Gin Itchō offers accessible plates, from ginger-soy marinated tuna and albacore belly to seared salmon, welcoming solo diners and takeout orders.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tuna alone commands a diverse presence across the menu. Diners can compare cuts and marinades—largely priced in the accessible 150-yen range—such as maguro marinated in ginger soy, fatty albacore collar belly, and rich Pacific bluefin fatty tuna. In between, refreshing bites of marinated squid or white fish nigiri help pace the meal, capturing the effortless charm of conveyor-belt dining where you build a spread entirely to your liking.
Moving beyond red-fleshed fish, seared salmon belly and onion salmon provide satisfying rich, charred notes. The kitchen also turns out a hearty variety of rolls and battleship gunkan nigiri; options like the crisp heat of seafood with wasabi stems, crunchy pickled daikon with tuna, and ark-shell fringe add rhythm and textural contrast to the table. Steaming bowls of nori seaweed soup or clam soup tie the meal together.
The dining area is arranged with counter seating, making it easy to drop in alone for a cold beer and a few quick plates. A dessert selection featuring molten chocolate cake wraps up the meal, while prepared sushi boxes are available at the front for takeaway, keeping the spot convenient whether you are eating in or carrying dinner home.
